Artist Talk with Ileana Doble Hernandez and Día de Muertos

  • Saturday, November 02, 2024
  • 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Danforth Art Museum, 14 Vernon Street, Framingham

Registration is closed

Come hear Ileana Doble Hernandez discuss her exhibition My Dear Americans, It’s Not Enough which confronts some of the most pressing and divisive social and political issues of our time. Her work is multi-disciplinary, and it cultivates awareness by speaking directly to the viewer, confronting difficult issues such as gun violence and immigration through photo-based work and interactive installations.

At 4pm, learn about Día de Muertos with Hernandez at the Danforth Art Museum.  The Day of the Dead, Día de Muertos, is one of the most important holidays in Mexico, traditionally celebrated on November 1 and 2. The days are a recognition of death as an ever-present part of life, and offer a time to remember and honor loved ones who have passed.

This event is free with paid admission to the Museum.

Once you register, you are all set. No need to print tickets or show us a digital ticket at the door. Just tell us your name when you walk in!
